I hear a bunch of languages every week, and one of my favorite things to hear are the ways we say "I love you".
Far too many times I have seen a preoccupation with appearance keep someone from trying something new or continuing an activity
The act of giving some of our resources to someone else feels a bit uncomfortable.
I remember hearing about the things those in my community and scope of influence wanted to achieve by 2020 and thinking “Goodness, that’s ages away!”. It seemed both foolish and inspirational to have goals that stretched that far into the future. And yet, here we are.
Stepping into 2020 there are some things I’m excited to leave behind...
Christmas is coming, BRING ON THE MAGIC!
All of these beautiful celebrations of the season are special and important, and unfortunately they all have the potential to combine into a really tragic waste of resources if we don’t go about them with some intentionality and thought.
Somehow just knowing that my ability to savor the experience and feel hugely grateful for it continues long after the moment has passed gives me freedom to let go of that niggling worry and instead savor the experience while it is happening.
While I have to credit a week of vacation at home for some of this week’s spots of joy, some of the good feelings were personally achieved and it’s those that I want to share.
Things will frustrate and anger you, and you can choose to respond with patience, with grace.
