When visiting Hawaii I highly recommend renting a convertible. It’s an easy thing to do, as every rental company I saw had at least five sitting in shiny rows in their parking spaces at the airport. Cruising with the top down, happy Hawaiian tunes or Christmas music adding to the mood while a cool breeze blows away the cares of the last hours of travel. Mmm. It’s one of my new favorite memories.
From peaceful pools with native Hawaiian fish and lunch on the pier, to the Tantalus lookout at sunset and strolling through Ala Moana, these are some of my favorite moments of my first day in Hawaii.
The natural beauty of Hawaii will never stop amazing and delighting me. Neither will the wild little chickens, the variety in color and temperature of the water all over the island, or the delicious things to eat at a hundred little restaurants in every square mile. From this first day Hawaii became one of the most interesting and enjoyable places I’ve ever visited, and I’m already looking forward to the day I can return.
