We are all deficient in some areas which makes us frustrated, depressed, self-conscious, embarrassed. We all have capacity to change those things through our mindset and dedicated action.
For at least the first five years of our lives our families teach us all that we knew about ourselves, the world, and our place in it. Five years of crucial development time amounts to about a million moments of self-image building.
We’re gonna spend four weeks talking about self-image, because ladies and gents, nothing impacts your life quite as much as the things that you feel and believe about yourself.
The power of gratitude can free you from the self-inflicted prison of complaint.
Maybe the disappointment is because my favorite gift was spending the holiday season enjoying their company, and now that they have given me that most extravagant gift, it's going away.
May this year’s celebration be one of less guilt and more enjoyment. Fewer Thanksgiving tchotchkes and more intimate connections. Less conflict and more compassion. Fewer power struggles and more communication and collaboration. Less whirlwind and more mindfulness. May your day be full to the brim of things to be grateful for, in whatever form they come.
