I remember hearing about the things those in my community and scope of influence wanted to achieve by 2020 and thinking “Goodness, that’s ages away!”. It seemed both foolish and inspirational to have goals that stretched that far into the future. And yet, here we are.
Things will frustrate and anger you, and you can choose to respond with patience, with grace.
Who you are defines your story. Who you are, the things that make you the unique person that you are, colors the way you interact with the world, the way you see and perceive every facet of life.
People will try to tell you that overthinking is bad for you, and leads to worry and is a useless exercise which wastes your valuable mental power… And that’s probably true. But ruminating and in-depth processing are also amazing strengths if you just give your brain a little direction.
The last three perspectives I’ve shared have been centered around being *on*. This week we’re going to take a break from all these mentally challenging objectives and instead talk about cultivating a mindset of relaxation.
As you may have noticed, there was no new blog post last week. I was in the mountains, enjoying the new blanket of snow, learning new skills and dodging trees on the way down the hill.
Any venture can be an adventure with the right mindset.
ou and I and everyone else see the world through our own unique set of goggles, with a heads up display. We start life with a smudge free pair of crystal clear specs and a HUD that only blips in recognition of a few choice people.
I don’t have all the answers. Heck, I don’t think I even have half the answers about this topic alone, but I do know that more beautiful things wait on the other side of accepting, loving and embracing your body.
