Far too many times I have seen a preoccupation with appearance keep someone from trying something new or continuing an activity
In my career and community I talk with tons of people about how they want their lives to be. The thing I hear most often is “I need to exercise more”.
One of my favorite things to do is spend a sunny afternoon exploring an expansive, inexpensive thrift store, the more varied the donation range the better. I spend most of my time not looking for things I need, but experimenting.
While I value the experiences, feelings, growth, emotions and education and I could have written about any of it, the one thing that stood out the most in this dynamic week, was something so simple I honestly surprised myself.
Focusing on the beautiful things in our lives elevates them. What you look for you find, so let’s go find some self-doubt busters.
Of course, we all know that sometimes the clean out doesn’t last. The clutter sneaks back in, we accumulate more junk, our normal state is a tempting routine and we fall back into it. Be that as it may, any moment of progress shows us what’s is possible. And friend, it’s all possible. ❤
I have decided that this life is beautiful enough that I want to fight to keep myself going strong in it for the next 70 years or so. I hope that you understand that you can be right there with me!
In case you thought you were too old...
Everything you do in your daily life, whether huge or seemingly insignificant either moves you to your ultimate success or contributes to your ultimate failure.
Far from a punishment, physical activity should be a celebration of your body.
